Birthday Guide

Remembering and celebrating the birthdays of friends and family can be a piece of cake with a little help from Canada Post.

Let "Birthday Alert" remind you of important birthdays

Can’t recall if your grandmother’s birthday falls on the day before or the day after Groundhog Day? Not to worry, because with Never-Forget-a-Birthday alert you’ll never miss a birthday again.

And for helpful reminders when a key date approaches, you can also set automatic notifications to be sent to you by email 14, 7 or 4 days before an important date.

For your Information

Buy the new PERMANENT stamp—it has no denomination, so it will always be accepted at the basic domestic letter rate. Use the PERMANENT stamp to mail letters that weigh up to 30 grams to any Canadian address.

Send a card in the mail

Canada Post research shows that 70 percent of Canadians would rather receive a card in the mail on their birthday than a greeting by email. So why not buy a card at your local Post Office and mail it all in one convenient stop? Find your local Post Office.

Coin sets make great gifts

Looking for a unique gift idea? Coin sets are a great way to celebrate birthdays or other special occasions like graduations and anniversaries. Check out what’s available from Canada Post’s Commemorative Coin catalogue or at your local Post Office.
