Data Products
Canada Post postal data products are available on CD-ROM or by download from the Canada Post FTP site on a 12 month subscription basis, which includes monthly updates. Non-mailing uses of Canada Post's data products are also permitted under specific terms and conditions. If you are interested in receiving further information regarding these Postal Code data products please email us your telephone number and email address or call us at 1 800 363-3459.
Important: These data products are comprised of raw data files in ASCII format and require the use of an application program to be accessed.

These data products are available from Canada Post through one of two licensing agreements. Only one agreement is required even if more than one of these products is purchased. Completed agreements may be returned to us by mail (please see mailing address on agreement) or by fax at 613-734-6208.
Agreement 1:
The "CPC Data Licensing Agreement for End-User" is for subscribers who incorporate Postal Code data into an application intended for their own internal "end-use". Note: the subscription fees displayed in Schedule “A” of this agreement are in effect until December 31, 2008.
Agreement 2:
The "Postal CodeOM Data Subscription & License Agreement." is for subscribers who incorporate Postal Code data into an application that is licensed or distributed to third parties and which is subject to royalties payable to Canada Post. Note: the subscription fees and royalties displayed in Schedule “B” of this agreement are in effect until December 31, 2008.
- Postal CodeOM Address Data
Provides information on ranges of addresses and related Postal Code data for every delivery address in Canada. Of particular use to users wishing to validate and / or correct the mailing addresses of their databases.

$3,500/yr CDN effective January 1, 2008

- Delivery Mode Data
Relates current delivery modes (e.g. letter carrier, rural route) to postal codes. Provides the necessary information to assist users in presorting their mail in accordance with the requirements defined for the rate of postage paid, in order to qualify for incentive mailing rates.

- Householder Elite Data
The Householder Elite Data Product provides users with householder counts information at the individual Postal Code level. The individual postal codes are linked to their respective serving delivery installation, delivery mode and householder counts. With this data, mailers are able to target their prospects at the Postal Code level and then plan their volume and distribution requirements for Unaddressed Admail mailings accordingly. The Householder Elite Data Product also includes key data elements required by mailers who wish to prepare their Unaddressed Admail mailings through Canada Post’s Electronic Shipping Tools software (EST).

- Householder-Plus Data
Provides users with all the postal codes in Canada with the Postal Code of their respective delivery installation, delivery mode and householder counts. Particularly useful for mailers who already know the postal codes of their customers.

- Householder Data
Provides information on the number of houses, apartments, farms and businesses by delivery mode for mailers wishing to determine their volume and distribution requirements for Unaddressed Admail mailings for Urban and Rural delivery installations.
