Customers rent or lease postage meters from one of three companies who manufacture meters that are authorized by Canada Post for use in Canada: Francotyp-Postalia Canada Inc., Neopost Canada Ltd. and Pitney Bowes Canada.

If you occasionally distribute mailings, you will find metering more convenient than stamps.

You do not need to be a meter subscriber. Just bring your mail to the counter and Canada Post will meter it for you. Metering is quick and convenient, especially for large quantities. If you occasionally distribute large mailings, you will find metering more convenient than stamps.

1-300 pieces $18.00 flat fee + postage
301-2000 pieces 6 cents per piece + postage
2001-4000 pieces 5.5 cents per piece + postage
4001 plus 5 cents per piece + postage
