Registered Mail is used by consumers and businesses to send important items, which require proof of mailing and/or proof of delivery.

- Financial documents
Domestic Registered Mail must meet the size and weight requirements for Lettermail.

- Signature and archiving of delivery information for seven years
- $100 of indemnity (exceptions apply)
- 2-day local, 3-day provincial, and 4-day national delivery standard*
- Delivery confirmation available via Internet, and 1 888 550-6333 (from outside of Canada 1 416 979-8822)
- Redirection
- Return to sender
* Between and within major centres, some exceptions apply

- Proof of delivery/hard copy signature*
- Additional coverage for loss or damage, $0.65 per $100.00 to a maximum of $5,000
*A hard copy of the signature can be obtained at a later date, if required, by calling 1 888 550-6333 (from outside of Canada 1 416 979-8822). There is a fee for this service. The Signature Copy will be sent via Lettermail or Fax within three business days of your request.
