Corporate Governance

“Canada Post belongs to one Shareholder, the Government of Canada, but the reality is that Canada Post belongs to all Canadian citizens. Canada Post initiated its very 1st Annual Public Meeting in 2006 because our Board of Directors believes in, and is committed to transparency and openness. Indeed, Canada Post has demonstrated a concerted effort in recent years to become a more open and customer-focused company.”

While there is no legislation requirement to disclose any of the governance information found on this website or to hold Annual Public Meetings, Canada Post believes that providing such information and holding Annual Public Meetings provide an excellent opportunity to reach out our customers, employees and all Canadians.

Canada Post’s Public meetings

Canada Post is committed to continue to provide updated governance information and will also continue to hold public meetings each year in various locations throughout Canada. Canada Post held its second annual public meeting in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador on Tuesday, June 12, 2007. To view the webcast recorded during the meeting, click here.
