Registered Mail is a safe, secure, and reliable way to send important items.

Registered Mail is used by consumers and businesses to send important items, which require proof of mailing and/or proof of delivery accross Canada and around the world.

Some of the many items that are sent Registered Mail include:

• Passports
• Birth Certificates
• Legal documents
• Contracts
• Financial documents

Domestic Registered Mail must meet the size and weight requirements for Lettermail.

Service Features (Included in Fee)

• Proof of Mailing
• Secure handling in our distribution processing stream
• Signature and archiving of delivery information for seven years
• $100 of indemnity (exceptions apply)
• 2-day local, 3-day provincial, and 4-day national delivery standard*
• Delivery confirmation available via Internet, and 1 888 550-6333 (from outside of Canada 1 416 979-8822)
• Redirection
• Return to sender

* Between and within major centres, some exceptions apply

• Hold for Pick-up (no charge)
• Proof of delivery/hard copy signature*
• Additional coverage for loss or damage, $0.65 per $100.00 to a maximum of $5,000

*A hard copy of the signature can be obtained at a later date, if required, by calling 1 888 550-6333. There is a fee for this service. The Signature Copy will be sent via Lettermail or Fax within three business days of your request.
