The Amalgamation Data Product offers mailers the new addresses for municipalities amalgamating. The data cross references the old and new addresses, so that mailers will be able to use this information to update their mailing lists. Similar to Canada Post's address data products, this data set does not contain any programming; this is the customer's responsibility.
There have been several amalgamations that have occurred in recent months - Saint-Hyacinthe, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Gatineau and Saint-Honoré to name a few. The new and old addresses for these municipalities are included in the product. Any data for further amalgamations are added to the data set as they occur and are implemented.
